Rebeca Cabrera

She works on the analysis and evaluation of governance and financial systems, both public and private, with expertise in public accounting, public procurement management, and the comparative measurement of transparency, anti-corruption, and efficiency in Public Administrations. She manages and integrates complex databases, overseeing statistical analysis and the development of indicators. She also supervises the analysis and rating platform, ensuring the accuracy of calculations, data quality, and the reliability of results.

She holds a degree in Economics from the Universidad Centroamericana (Nicaragua) and later earned a Master’s degree in Bank Management from the American University (Nicaragua). In 2021, she completed a second-level Master’s degree in Economics – Global Development and Entrepreneurship at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. She was awarded the Riccardo Faini Prize 2022 by the Department of Economics of the same university for one of the best Master’s theses. She has developed strong expertise in statistics and econometrics, with particular attention to the analysis and interpretation of quantitative results.

From 2012 to 2018, she held several positions in the financial sector at the Bank of National Development of Nicaragua and in private banking. She also collaborated with Ca’ Foscari University of Venice as a research fellow in statistics and economics. She is co-author of a contribution published in the 5th Ca’ Foscari Report on Italian Municipalities 2022 – Municipalities Facing the PNRR Challenge, focusing on the forecasting of financial distress in Italian municipalities. Since 2021, she has been collaborating with Fondazione Etica and contributes to the drafting of publications and reports of the REP Center.
